Flux — Local AI Operations

A desktop workspace for seeing the state of local AI resources, diagnosing runtime health, and opening engineering tools through defined interfaces.

Challenge

Make a growing collection of local models and engineering applications understandable without confusing installed tools with resources that are actually running or in use.

Constraints

Resource state must come from current evidence. Monitoring must preserve the owning application's authority and avoid exposing prompts, responses, or private configuration.

System

An Electron desktop application combines a resource registry, read-only runtime probes, owner-reported activity, diagnostic views, and bounded tool launchers.

Magneum’s contribution

Built the desktop interface, resource-state contracts, adaptive monitoring, application lifecycle handling, and integrations for local engineering tools.

Verification

Recorded live checks demonstrated the Overview, Tools, Machines, Mobile, and Activity views in one resident desktop process. Automated suites exercised desktop, launcher, and mobile behavior.

Outcome

A working desktop interface makes local AI resources and engineering tools easier to inspect and access while keeping their state and ownership explicit.

Limitations

The latest mobile build has not completed submission or physical-device acceptance, and the optional paired status connection still needs live proof. Broader control capabilities remain separate work.
